More character sheets, this time Sharada. She’s a princess.

Watching some old movies and sketching and ended with Funny Face. I just have to laugh when Dick is escorting Jo back to her hotel and pisses her off. He goes into the thrilling classic Fred Astaire choreography when his character sees a random cow on a truck and starts bullfighting. I always wonder what that bit actually adds to the story at that point but I ultimately come to the conclusion that only Fred Astaire could fight an imaginary bull with such grace and bozazz.
Anyway, have a sketch of Audrey Hepburn as Jo Stockton.

I cut my hair off last weekend, and there’s been a lot of positive reaction. With the exception of a few people that just have to touch it. It’s like a compulsion I think, short curly hair is like a cat bathing in the sun, you just want to touch it till you get bit.
Slowly getting into the frame of mind of redesigning some characters and races that DESPERATELY need it. These are just very basic preliminaries of a long established main character for an impossibly grandiose story I’ve been picking at since high school. I’d like to write it one day but I’m afraid it would end up like WoT.
For now you get Kareen, she burns things and drinks heavily, and an obligatory OHMYGODITISNTFANART.
I’m somewhere between “hey yeah this is looking good..” and “what the hell am I doing.”
I think it’s time to stop and go read a book. So far The City and the City by China Mieville, really good very highly recommended.
